Gamesa wins repeat orders from Hero Future Energies

Renewable energy firm Gamesa has bagged repeat orders from Hero Future Energies to set up 120 MW wind energy projects to be commissioned by 2017 in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, respectively.

"Gamesa has entered into a double agreement with independent power producer Hero Future Energies for the project that comprises supply, erection and commissioning of 60 units of G114 2.0 MW T106 turbines for 120 MW order at Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka," the city-based firm said in a statement.

The company would also deliver a turnkey solution for another 50 MW order at Bableshwar, Karnataka with supply of 25 units of G114.2.0MW T106 turbines.
 

Both projects are scheduled for commissioning by March 2017, it said.

"We are happy to receive these repeat orders from Hero Future Energies as it is a reaffirmation of our product and project management capabilities in wind space," Gamesa India Chairman and Managing Director, Ramesh Kymal said.

"Post successful completion of 100 MW self-development project at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh,we have undertaken yet another self-development project in Kalyandurg, one of the biggest projects in Andhra Pradesh," Hero Future Energies CEO and Executive Director, Sunil Jain said.
