With the arrest of four people, the police here today claimed to have busted a gang of cheats.

The police said the accused allegedly used to dupe people on the pretext of giving them cheap holiday packages.

The Cyber Cell team last night raided the premises at Sector 65, they said.

The police said the accused have been identified as Imran, Pankaj Shah, Deep Kishore and Ankit Chauhan.

Superintendent of Police (City) Arun Kumar Singh said a Mumbai resident had complained to the Noida Cyber Cell that some people had allegedly duped him and later switched off their mobile phones.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that they had opened a call centre where they used to contact people living far away from Noida so that the victims refrained from lodging an FIR.

The police said they confessed to have cheated thousands of people.
