persons in the state capital and claimed of busting a gang of dacoits, which used to commit crimes in densely populated areas of the city. Two pistols have been recovered from them.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jitendra Rana said the arrests were made on the basis of intelligence inputs and the arrested have been identified as Vikas Kumar Rahul and Jitu Kumar, both residents of Patna district.

"On receiving a tip-off we immediately constituted a special team under City SP Shivdeep Lande. It took position at Gaighat beneath the Mahatma Gandhi Setu in the city and kept a watch on the movement of suspicious persons," Rana said.
