Labelling her upcoming flick 'Gang of Ghosts' as a thriller but a comedy, actor Meera Chopra says the soul of original Bengali film Bhooter Bhabisyot has been retained. In the Hindi re-adaptation.

Meera, the show-stopper of celebrated fashion designer Jatin Kochhar's show, said on the sidelines, "Bhooter Bhabisyot was a beautiful movie and we have retained the soul.

"It is re-telling the story in Satish Kaushik's way who is superb in weaving comic situations and tickle the funnybones. You can also label Gang of Ghosts as more than a comedy, a satire on afterlife."

Meera, who is also starring in Vikram Bhatt's 1920 London, said it was a supernatural thriller.

The self confessed Mona Pali fan said about Jatin Kochhar, "He is always so caring for girls as a fashion designer you feel comfortable in whatever you wear at his show. Here I am wearing a saree in Bengalee style without any safety-pins.

"So doing re-make of Bhooter Bhabisyot and then walking a fashion show in Bengal draped in saree," she quipped at Ultra Bengal Fashion Week.

Jatin, who mostly drew on black and white in robes, says he always believes in "minimalist designs".

"In my designs no lines are blurred. As I believe in clarity. And it is a tribute to women, without whom we would not have been in this world," he said.

Jatin, who wished to showcase something not typical about Kolkata at the show, said "I always find a very contemporary and fabulous audience here."

"From the known names next year onwards we will include aspiring but talented fashion designers from this part of the country and it will be an annual affair," a Kingfisher Ultra Bengal Fashion Week spokesman said.
