Police today claimed to have busted a gang of robbers active in Delhi-NCR with the arrest of eight persons from Muradnagar area here.
Five country-made pistols, three knives, a gas cutter, two LPG cylinders and two cars were recovered from them, police said.
These gang members used to loot factories, they said.

Acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap in Muradnagar area and arrested all the accused late last night.
"All the accused teamed up for robbing factories situated in Delhi-NCR. We got information that some robbers were coming to Muradnagar area. Police laid a trap and arrested all accused late last night," a senior police official said.
The eight persons arrested have been identified as Aarif, Mohit, Ravi, Shiv Kumar, Chote Lal, Shiv Singh, Rakesh and Vijay Pal, all aged between 26 and 33 years. Accused have confessed to their involvement in a dozen robbery cases.
"Police are now interrogating the arrested persons about their accomplices and we hope that some more arrests would soon happen," the officer said.
