Gang of wanted criminals busted by Haryana police

The Haryana police today claimed to have busted a gang of alleged wanted criminals with the arrest of its five members from here.

The five wanted criminals were involved in more than 16 murder cases, the police said, adding that three firearms, ammunition and a car has been recovered from their possession.

Satish alias Monu Kala, who carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head, Arvind alias Pandit alias Kala, Naresh alias Pahlwan, Surender alias Foji, and Ashwani alias Pannu were arrested.

Satish, along with his associates, had allegedly killed petrol pump owner Raju Sethi and property dealer Bharat Bhusan in Gurgaon.
 

He had earlier been convicted and awarded life imprisonment for his involvement in two murders.

After jumping his parole in 2008, he formed his own gang and allegedly killed eight persons in Sonipat, Gurgaon, Jind and Hisar, the police said.

The police had announced reward of Rs 50,000 for the arrest of Arvind who was wanted in eight murder cases.

Naresh had allegedly murdered two persons in 2016 and one in 2017, they said.

Surender was wanted in four murders cases and two cases of attempt to murder and Ashwani was wanted in three murder cases, the police said.
