Bihar Police today arrested two persons and busted a West Champaran based gang that had stolen 150 smartphones and other gadgets worth Rs 50 lakh from a shop in Nadiad city of Kheda district in Gujarat.
West Champaran Superintendent of Police (SP) Sudhir Kumar Singh said the operation was conducted with the help of a Gujarat Police team that had come to Motihari seeking help in the matter.

The West Champaran SP said the kingpin of the gang is one Arun Gupta, who is absconding. A few other members of the gang have also been identified and the hunt is on to nab them.
"This gang was known as 'sSutter-katwa' gang here. They had broken in one shop in Nadiad and fled with electronic gadgets. Kheda SP had investigated the case and managed to trace the persons involved. He had got in touch with us and requested for help," Singh said.
Police officials said the arrested persons are being interrogated about the missing mobile phones and the other crimes that they might have committed in Bihar and other states.
Both of them will be handed over tomorrow on transit demand to the Gujarat Police team camping at Motihari.
