Gangjee, who was well-placed at 16th after the first day, was four-over through nine holes after starting from the 10th.
Just two birdies and one bogey on the back-nine did not help his cause as he crashed out at the midway stage. The cut came at one-under 143 and Gangjee totalled 145.
Australian Alistair Presnell birdied his final two holes for a second consecutive round of 68 and sole possession of the 36-hole lead.
Presnell stands at eight-under 136 after two days of record-breaking temperatures. Presnell owns a one-shot lead over two-time US Open champion Lee Janzen (70), David Lingmerth (70) and Brian Stuard (67).
Stuard eagled his first and last hole to climb into contention.
A total of 62 players made the 36-hole cut, which came at one-under 143 and the winner this week will make USD 99,000.
The Web.Com Tour will take next week off before resuming the 2012 schedule at the Utah Championship at Willow Creek Country Club near Salt Lake City July 9-15.
