"Police should act swiftly to arrest the accused persons," Bose told reporters here.
"Such crimes are rising because trial and punishment process is not completed fast and as such social pressure is not increasing," Bose said.
Bose said that the Left Front would hold a rally on September one to mark 'anti-imperialism Day'.
The rally would start from Gostho Pal statue in the Maidan area to Deshbandhu Park in North Kolkata.
He said that the Front would also observe Martyrs' Day on August 31 to mark the historic Khadya Andolan (Food Movement).
