A 25-year-old girl, who has accused her former live-in partner and his three friends of gang-raping her, has herself come under the scanner as she has been giving contradictory statements to the investigators.
"There are some contradictions in the girl's statements. If this case turns out to be fake, police will take strict action against her," Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Atul Yadav said today.
In her complaint, the woman has alleged that on July 7, she was kidnapped and raped by her former live-in partner Akhil Tomar and his three friends in a moving car. She has also accused them of inserting a bottle in her private parts before dumping her in Noida Sector 62.

"As per her medical examination, no internal injury has been found in her private parts, which contradicts her statements on the bottle assault," said another police official investigating the case.
"When Akhil's mobile phone was examined, it was found that he was in east Delhi at the time of the alleged incident, instead of Ghaziabad and Noida as claimed by the girl," police said.
The woman lived-in with Akhil Tomar for over one year and had also lodged a complaint against him for assault in January this year.
Police said the woman had also registered a gang-rape case against one Sunil Tomar, a teacher, at Sahibabad police station on May 7. She had made serious allegations like brutal assault and pouring of petrol in her private parts against him, but they turned out to be untrue, they said.
According to police, the woman has now made the same Sunil Tomar her 'writer' (one who writes complaint on behalf of somebody) in the gang-rape case of July 7, which is very confusing.
"As per initial investigation, it seems that the theory revolves around Akhil Tomar and Sunil Tomar as Akhil was also booked for molestation by one of Sunil's students at on January 1, 2013," he said.
Police said they have recorded statements of Akhil Tomar and his friends, adding that no arrest has been made in the case.
