"For all those asking and also those not asking but are eager to know GOW2 will release on 8th August," Kashyap tweeted.
The second part will have Faisal Khan - played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui - taking revenge of his father and grandfather's death, against Ramadhir Singh (Tigmanshu Dhulia).
"THE GRAND FACE OFF between RamadhirSingh & FaizalSKhan has started. Join them," Kashyap added.
The first part hit theatres on June 22 and the second half of the five-hour film was initially slated for an end-July release.
But now it will release on August 8, which happens to be a Wednesday.
Both the parts were screened at the Cannes film festival this year and received much critical acclaim.
