Gangster Ashwin Naik was arrested along with the secretary of a residential building in Central Mumbai for allegedly threatening a man, who sought the name transfer of a newly purchased house, the police said today.
According to the police, gangster Naik was arrested at about 2.30 am today while Ashok Jadhav, secretary of a building in the Sambaji Nagar area was nabbed last night on a complaint by one Prakash Patkar.
Patkar had recently purchased a room in the building, where Jadhav is secretary. Patkar had requested Jadhav to complete the formalities so that the house he purchased could be transferred in his name.

Following the complaint from Patkar, accused Jadhav and Naik were picked up and placed under arrest, he said.
The two were produced before a court which granted the duo bail, Rajput said, adding that a further probe is on.
