Garewal makes cut at ADT event in Chinese Taipei

Feroz Singh Garewal crossed the first hurdle as he made the cut with a second round two-under 70 at the USD 120,000 Ambassador Asian Development Tour (ADT) tournament here today.

Garewal, who along with Ajeetesh Sandhu, has been making occasional forays into the ADT Tour, the second rung tour in Asia, is now tied 32nd after being 92nd at the end of the first round, when he shot 78 at the par-72 Hsin Feng Golf and Country Club.

Feroz, starting on the back nine, had three birdies on 12th, 16th and 17th as he turned in three-under.

He dropped bogeys on first and seventh, but also had a birdie on fifth as he took his two-day total to four-over 148.
 

Meanwhile, local star Chan Shih-chang fired a flawless five-under-par 67 to grab a slender one-shot lead over countryman Lin Wen-tang.

Chan, who held a share of the overnight lead with an opening 69, is on course for a record fifth ADT win. He had five birdies and is eight-under-par 136.

Lin closed with two birdies to take second place, while American Blake Snyder settled two shots back in third place on 139.
