The 28-year-old, who plays Flynn in the Disney sci-fi franchise, says he is very excited about the project, reported Huffington Post.
When asked about his return to the film during the press conference of his new movie "On the Road", Garrett said, "Yeah. Are we gonna break this now? Disney's very excited. That's about that. You know, yeah, I'm very excited, Disney's very excited."
In the 2010 installment "Tron Legacy", Hedlund played the son of original actor Jeff Bridges' character Kevin Flynn from the 1982 film "Tron", but his role in the sequel is being kept secret along with the plot.
Joseph Kosinski will direct the film.
