Garware-Wall Ropes Q2 PAT up 69.3% at Rs 26 crore

Technical textiles Garware-Wall Ropes (GWRL) today reported 69.3 per cent growth in profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 26 crore in the September quarter, compared to the same period last year.

The company's PAT stood at Rs 15.4 crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal, GWRL said in a release issued here.

GWRL's net sales grew by 8.4 per cent to Rs 232.1 crore in Q2 compared to Rs 214.1 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.

"During the second quarter of the year, we have seen healthy growths in our fisheries and aquaculture businesses. Importantly, our value added products have led this growth across business segments. We expect that the demand for our application centric products will continue to be robust for the rest of the year," Garware-Wall Ropes CMD Vayu Garware said.
