A 35-year-old gas agency deliveryman was allegedly shot dead and robbed of cash near Ghodi Bachheda village in the district, police said today.
Bablu, a resident of Jehangirpur, had last evening gone to deliver a gas cylinder at Omicron sector, police said.
Unknown assailants stopped him and shot him when he tried to resist their robbery attempt, they said, adding that they fled with Rs 20,000 which Bablu was carrying.
The matter is under investigation, they said.
