Actress Gauhar Khan will walk the ramp for designer Rinku Sobti at the Lakme Fashion Week, which begins here from tomorrow.
The Delhi-based designer will bring a collection that redefines the loom tradition of Varanasi on the Indian Textile day of the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive season.
"The brand 'Loom 1905' is a thought inspired by the Swadeshi movement. The idea was conceived in Varanasi. This creation is an ode to the handloom tradition and skilled weavers of India. It is a true tribute to the textile heritage of this country," Sobti said in a statement.

"The hard work that has been put in to create this collection has totally been worth it. It is my first time at Lakme, which makes me even more ecstatic," she added.
The designer has drawn inspiration from the rich Indian handloom culture and the intricate works of the weavers in the Bajardiya cluster to shape her collection 'Tassels'.
The collection includes skirts, jackets both high and low, sarees, jumpsuits and woven formal lehengas.
The fashion extravaganza will end on August 30.
