Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi today urged the fraternity at Gauhati University to intensify its efforts in creating "capable human resources" who would contribute to the growth of the state, a release issued by Raj Bhavan said here.
Mukhi, who is also the chancellor of the university, interacted with the faculty members, officers, employees and students this morning, requesting them to work resolutely for the overall development of the Assam.
The role of Gauhati University in nurturing young minds is of immense importance, as students who graduates from there would be able to bring about positive changes in the society, he said after reviewing the infrastructural development work at the institute.
The governor, on this occasion, also welcomed suggestions from the students and faculty members for the growth of the university.
