An Indian Wild Gaur in the zoo here has given birth to a male calf, zoo officials said today.
The delivery was recorded live last evening as this was the first birth in the zoo since cameras were installed in its enclosures. The zoo staff monitored the delivery from the surveillance room.
Officials said they were taking all precautions against an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease. The calf was being fed well by its mother, they said.
