Gayatri Parivar, a prominent spiritual organisation of Haridwar, will celebrate Guru purnima in a unique way this year by planting a sapling at the place where they live to underscore the importance of greenery on earth.
Crores of Gayatri Parivar volunteers all over the world will first offer floral tributes to the founder of the organisation Acharya Shri Ram Sharma on Guru purnima on July 19 with each one planting a sapling at the place where they live, according to a statement of organisation.
An instruction to this effect has been sent to all branches of the organisation across the world, it said.
Headed by Pranav Pandya, Gayatri Parivar, headquartered in Haridwar, has more than 4000 branches in 87 countries of the world.
