The newly-appointed GCA president Vinod Phadke had told reporters last week that the entire election process has been set aside and new schedule will be announced later.
Narvekar told PTI that the association's three-member election committee has received 21 nominations for 15 posts of the office-bearers till the last day of filing nominations.
"The election process is very much on. We are holding polls on May 27," he said.
The election committee members are yet to receive any termination letter, Narvekar said, alleging that the Phadke-led committee "usurped" the GCA office at Porvorim near here.
"The so called new committee has entered (the office) with a police protection. They have not even done the inventory of the office, which is mandatory while taking the charge," Narvekar said.
Phadke, who claimed support of 13 out of 15 managing committee members, had called off the election process soon after ousting Narvekar on May 13.
Narvekar said that the newly-elected committee, after holding elections on May 27, will take over the charge of GCA.
"You can't just break open the lock and take control of the office. There are laws in the GCA constitution," he said.
Phadke was unavailable for the comment.
The outgoing GCA chief was reportedly dethroned by the managing committee members for "working against the interest of the association".
The state government has already appointed two-member committee to probe into the financial irregularities by Narvekar, the former vice president of BCCI.
