Ghaziabad Development Authority officials today sealed five CNG stations in the city for not having a sanctioned map from development authority and No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the fire department.

Dayanand Prasad Officer on Special Duty (OSD) said two CNG stations located in Govind Puram, two stations at Crossing Republic Vijay Nagar and one at Sanjay Nagar have been sealed by GDA for not having a sanctioned map and not complying with safety guidelines of Fire Department.

However, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) spokesman Aman Deep said that IGL has obtained NOC from Controller of Explosive, Nagpur and separate NOC from fire department is not required for operating CNG refilling station.

As far as sanctioning of map from GDA is concerned, the issue will be resolved on Monday, and consumers will not face any hardship, he said.
