Uttar Pradesh government has appointed senior Samajwadi Party leader Geeta Singh as Chairperson of UP Women Welfare Corporation (UPWWC).
"Singh has been appointed Chairperson of UPWWC," an official release issued here said today.
Singh, who was state president of Samajwadi Party Women's wing, was replaced by Shweta Singh. She was later made state secretary of the party.
