Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today criticised Vasundhara Raje for her claims that the medicines being distributed under his government's free medicines scheme were fake.

"By doing so, she has attempted to infuse distrust in the people of the state not only about the government scheme but also the people of the state being benefited by the scheme and even doctors," Gehlot said during his day-long visit here.

The Chief Minister held a meeting with party workers and officer bearers at a resort, attended a felicitation program for meritorious students of Mali community and Dusshera festival celebrations at Ravan ka Chabootra.

He accused Raje of trying to misguide and demoralise people with reference to various government schemes and free distributions.

Gehlot said as far as the free medicines scheme is concerned, there have been 16,000 tests and 2.5 lakh persons across the state are getting benefits under it every day.
