"Relief works were undertaken properly and affected people were shifted to safer places immediately. I have monitored the situation.
"Accumulated water was pumped out and all arrangements were made in time. Unfortunately, several people were killed but as a whole, it brought relief to the state," Gehlot told reporters here.
The state BJP leaders met with the state governor Margaret Alva yesterday and handed over a memorandum in which they alleged that the state government failed in providing relief to people after heavy rains.
