Rajasthan Rural Development and Panchayti Raj Minister Rajendra Rathore today slammed former chief minister Ashok Gehlot for his comments on land allotment, saying he was trying to demoralise officers and creating terror among them.

Gehlot had made allegations that land worth crores was being given away at throw away prices to the BJP in the state.

Rathore told reporters that the party has applied for the land with full transparency as per the land allotment policy-2015 of the government.

He said that the BJP government in 2015 had made a policy for allotment of lands to political parties with emphasis on transparency in the allotment.

"Gehlot's statement was aimed at threatening officers and creating terror among them," Rathore alleged.

The minister said that Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has been camping in Assembly constituencies to review the progress of government schemes.

Rathore also highlighted that the crime rate has declined in the BJP rule and the government has fulfilled its promise of providing jobs to youths. PTI SDA
