In surprise checks on some stone quarries, Officials of the Mines and Minerals department today seized a 1000 gelatine sticks, four electonic detonators and other explosive chemicals at nearby Palamedu in the district.
Police said three persons had been taken into custody and two vehicles seized in connection with it.
