Minister of state for external affairs and Ghaziabad MP Gen V K Singh today met people of his constituency and gave a patient listening to their grievances.

Gen V K Singh met a group of people from Indragadhi village at his residence here and discussed about the land dispute regarding a graveyard in the region, the minister's media coordinator Ashwini Sharma said.

The villagers alleged that the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) had constructed a road passing through the graveyard land at Indragadhi village.

A person named Farooq has grabbed the land in connivance with GDA officials and the administration is not paying any heed to their complaints, they complained.

The complainants also alleged that most of them were implicated in frivolous cases, Sharma said.

Gen Singh assured the villagers of all cooperation and noted that the minority is being vicitimized and is at a receiving end in the Samajwadi Party regime in Uttar Pradesh.

A memorandum was handed over to the local MP by the district president of BJP minority cell Salauddin Saifi, the spokesman added.
