Hollywood star George Clooney is set to receive Cecil B DeMille honour at next year's Golden Globe awards for his outstanding achievement in film and television entertainment.
The 53-year-old actor is known for his work in TV series like 'The Facts of Life' (1985-87), 'Roseanne' (1988-91), 'Sisters' (1993), 'ER' (1994), and films including, 'Out of Sight' (1998), 'The Thin Red Line' (1998), 'Three Kings' (1999), 'The Perfect Storm' (2000) and 'O Brother Where Art Thou?'.
Clooney, who has also dabbled in direction, writing and production, won an Academy award in 2013 as co-producer of film 'Argo'.
The star, also noted for his work as a political activist, has served as one of the United Nations Messengers of Peace since January 31, 2008. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
