Georges Monin SAS pact with Telangana govt to set up facility

: Georges Monin SAS,a French food and beverages company, today signed an MoU with the Telangana government to set up a production facility in the state.

An official release the company signed the MoU in the presence of Industries and IT Minister K T Rama Rao.

"With an investment up to Rs 100 crore, Georges Monin SAS will set up a production facility in Telangana to manufacture gourmet flavors from a wide range of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and nuts.

The unit is expected to generate more than 200 direct and indirect employment opportunities in the state," the release said.

"The State Government is encouraging the food processing sector in the state with the objective of increasing farm income and reducing food wastage.

 

We will provide complete assistance to Georges Monin SAS in setting up of its unit in the state," Rao said.

Georges Monin SAS is a France based 106-year-old company and a global leader in gourmet flavour business.

The company manufactures syrups, sweeteners, fruit purees and other beverages.

The company also offers a line of coffee and tea concentrates.

Georges Monin's products are available in more than 140 countries, the release said.
