The 43-year-old Scottish hunk fell for Ghenea when she was hired to help him promote a new razor for the Dubai-based Super Max brand last year.
The couple was first rumoured to be romantically involved in May, reported Contactmusic.
Ghenea played down the claims at the time, stating, "Gerard is a friend of mine. We are friends and nothing more."
But Butler has now openly gushed about the beauty, saying that he is romancing "Maddie".
"It's going good. I'm happier and calmer than I've been for a long time. These days I'm more zen and that's an easier way to exist," Butler said.
