German a capella band The Wise Guys are set to perform here in collaboration with Indian musicians to aid a children's charity they have been supporting for sometime now.
The five-member group are here in India as a band for the first time and will deliver a performance alongside Pt Vikash Maharaj and his sons at the German school tomorrow.
"We are happy to have The Wise Guys here to support the children's charity. They are not only a prominent band in Germany, but are socially active as well. They are the German counterpart to the Maharaj and Butterflies, who'll perform at the concert tomorrow, benefits of which will go to the NGO," said Michael Steiner, German Ambassador to India.

The band have been supporting the Butterflies project for nine years now, contributing monetarily towards the welfare of street children. They also support another kids' charity in South Africa.
"We did not want to make music just for ourselves, we wanted to contribute socially. We approach people in Germany to contribute two euros per month towards our charity, which is not a big amount, and for nine years we have been doing that. Right now we have about 20,000 people contributing to our fund every month," said band member Daniel Dickopf.
The band has been performing their unique style for over two decades now and spend most of the year touring. They mostly sing in German.
"We started back in the 90s, when a capella was pretty new. People used to be in awe seeing five guys performing without instruments. Singing in German has restricted our audience, but we feel more comfortable in our own language. We have done a few songs in English too. We want to try out writing a song in the Indian music style as well," said Daniel.
