Surajkund Crafts fair is the place where artisans not only from across the country but also from other countries show their specialised skills.
One of these skills is engraving the name on the wooden and brass rings.
Shekh Imran and Fahim from Tikamgarh (Madhya Pradesh) are displaying this skill at the mela.

He said that till now they have already made more than 100 rings as per the order of the customers. Most of the young people are showing interest in these rings.
Mohammad Irshad, sitting in the open area of the mela is making wodeen rings.
He said that on their stall most of the customers are the school children and young people.
Irshad said that they use the wood of Sheesham and Haldu to make these rings.
The ring is made from Sheesham while name is carved on the wood of Haldu and then pasted on the ring. Rings made this way are sold from Rs 20 to Rs 200.
