Ghaziabad admin calls for details of arms license holders

The district administration has asked the arms license holders to furnish their personal details by July 15 to avoid cancellation of licenses.

District Magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma today said any arms license, issued by state or central licensing authority, if not registered in the district database by July 15, will be treated as illegal and action will be initiated against the firearm holder.

He said that Ministry of Home Affairs have launched National Database of Arms License (NDAL) for uploading details of licenses in the country which is to be completed by October 1.

As many as 16,500 hold arms licenses in the district, he said.
 

Instructions have been issued to in-charges of all police stations to inform the license holders in their area to submit personal details like mobile number, date and place of birth, profession in a self-attested form before arms department at the collectorate, the DM added.
