Police have arrested the owner of a gym in Siyani Gate area here for allegedly killing an employee earlier this week over a monetary dispute.
Gym owner Jitender Tyagi was arrested from near ALT centre here late last night, along with his aide Vikas, a police officer said.
"Jitender had been evading arrest since the day of murder. Special police teams were formed to nab him," the officer said today.
Jitender shot dead gym instructor Khalid (22) on October 21 following a heated argument.
During interrogation, Jitender told police that Khalid borrowed Rs 1.75 lakh from him a few months ago.
"And whenever Jitender asked Khalid to return the money, he kept on delaying," the officer said, adding "to teach Khalid a lesson, Jitender hatched a plan to kill him".
"However, we are probing the case from all angles," the officer added.
