Two days after he was washed away in the swollen Yamuna river in Tronica City area here, the body of a 22-year-old youth was fished out today by divers from the river in Burari area of Delhi.
Sahibabad resident Shaukeen and four of his friends had gone to Yamuna river bank for picnic and swimming on Saturday, SHO Tronica City Sheelesh Yadav said.
Shaukeen jumped into the river for swimming but was washed away in the gushing waters. His friends raised an alarm and informed the police.
Police from Tronica City and Delhi's Burari reached the spot and a search operation was launched.
Today the divers of Burari police fished out the body and sent it for post mortem examination.
