In a move that will benefit the differently-abled people, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has taken up the task of constructing ramps at more than 400 public toilets in the city.
The construction of ramps is aimed at making toilets accessible to persons with disabilities, the GHMC said today.
It said that ramps have already been constructed at the 'Sulabh' complexes in the city.

As part of its cleanliness drive, the city civic body has taken up measures like putting up signboards to indicate the presence of toilets.
The GHMC had earlier persuaded petrol pumps, hotels and restaurants in the city to let citizens use toilets in their premises.
Cleanliness in the public toilets is also being monitored continuously, the GHMC added.
