TV actor Russell Johnson, best known for his role as a professor in American sitcom 'Gilligan's Island', has died at the age of 89.
According to the actor's longtime agent Michael Eisenstadt, Johnson died of kidney failure on January 16, reported Variety online.
From the 1950s through the 1980s, Johnson guest-starred on many TV shows like 'Twilight Zone', 'Lassie', 'Lou Grant', 'Dynasty' and 'Alf'.
