BJP MP Laxman Gilua today urged Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das to initiate efforts in opening all closed mines in West Singhbhum district's Chaibasa area at the earliest as per Supreme Court guidelines.

He said the villagers had become unemployed after the closure of mines at villages like Dehurisai, Pachayasai, Mundasai, Lakhansai, Todetopa, Dibrusai, Nathosai, Salikuti, Jarkasai, Khas Moudi, Dondeya Sai and Birasai.
