Ginger spurts on high demand, copra rajapur recovers

Ginger prices spurted at the spices market here today on higher demand from stockist and millers amidst good retail offtake.

Copra rajapur recovered following good demand from stockist and retailers.

While, black pepper witnessed a mixed pattern of trading on alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Ginger bleached shot up by Rs 13 per kg to Rs 183 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 170 and ginger unbleached moved up by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 193 from Rs 185.

Copra Rajapur climbed by Rs 101 per quintal to Rs 8,601 as against Rs 8,500 previously.

Copra office Alapuzha, copra Kozhikode and copra edible inched-up by a Rupee per quintal each to Rs 7,001, Rs 6,901 and Rs 8,001, respectively.
 

However, black pepper was quoted at Rs 501/541 per kg.
