Ginger unbleached recovers on fresh demand

Ginger unbleached recovered at the spices market here today on fresh demand from stockists and retailers.

While, black pepper dropped owing to lower demand from stockists and retailers.

Meanwhile, all other spices ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Ginger unbleached regained by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 120 from Tuesday's close of Rs 118.

However, black pepper moved down by Rs 10/10 per kg to Rs 490/580 as against Rs 500/590 yesterday.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):

Black pepper (per kg) 490/580 (500/590), ginger unbleached (per kg) 120 (118), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 10,200 (10,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,100 (10,100), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 11,300 (11,300), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 10,600 (10,600).
