A popular cheerleader was shot dead during a prank after the father of a classmate opened fire on a car full of teenagers in the US state of Arkansas, local media reported.
Seven teenagers between the ages and 14 and 18 squeezed into the car and drove over to a classmate's house to dump leaves, mayonnaise and eggs on his car early Saturday morning, KARK news reported.
"It seems to be an ongoing prank between the kids," Little Rock police lieutenant Sidney Allen told the station.

But father Willie Noble, 48, was not amused. He threw open his front door and opened fire on the car as the teens were driving away.
Adrian Broadway, 15, was shot in the head. One of the other teens received minor injuries from broken glass.
"They was trying to be teenagers," friend Laguyia Bland said at a candlelight vigil held Sunday night. "As you know, teenagers make mistakes and this was one of those mistakes."
Noble, who faces murder charges, told police he was only trying to scare the teens when he opened fire, the Arkansas Democrat Gazette reported, citing a police report released today.
Police did not immediately return a request for comment.
