A Class VI student of a leading private school in Vijay Nagar area here was allegedly beaten up by her teacher after her parents protested against hike in fees.

The girl's father filed a complaint with Additional District Magistrate (Admin) Chunku Ram Patel against the teacher and the school administration.

In his complaint, the student's father said, "On Monday, my daughter was beaten by a female teacher with a scale on the pretext of her failing to do maths homework. When She returned home, she narrated the behaviour of the teacher."

"On this, when I approached the school management, they said they were facing such kind of problem because several parents protested against fee hike," he said.

He said his daughter received bruises on her both legs.

"We have come to know about the incident. We have asked the Vijay Nagar police station SHO to probe the matter. If the school management is found guilty, police will take strict action against them," Patel said.
