Girl commits suicide alleging harassment by teachers

A girl has allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a river in Palampur town of Kangra, police said here today.

The girl, a student of Palampur Agriculture University, has alleged in her suicide note that she was being "harassed" by her two teachers, police said.

The girl killed herself yesterday.

An FIR has been registered on the complaint of girl's father, resident of Ghuggar Nala in Palampur Tehsil, Police Superintendent of Kangra district Balbir Thakur said.

No arrests has been made so far.
