A seven-year old girl at Makthal in Telangana survived on water for four days after accidentally falling into the bathroom of her neighbours locked house, police said Saturday.
The girl was playing on the terrace of a house adjacent to her residence on April 20 and accidentally fell through a plastic net and landed inside the bathroom of their neighbour's house, they said.
The girl's parents complained to the police that their daughter was missing.
On April 24, the residents of the locked house returned and were shocked to find the girl lying unconscious in the bathroom and informed the police.
She was taken to a hospital and was discharged after being given medical aid, the police said.
The girl survived only on water available in the bathroom, they said.
She did not sustain any injury in the fall as she fell on clothes hung on a rope, they added.
