A teenage girl jumped from a running bus to escape from 'eve-teasers', leaving her injured in Sakchi area here today.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Animesh Naithany said the girl, studying in IX standard, was returning home in a passenger bus when some youths started teasing her.
The girl complained to the bus driver and the conductor, but they allegedly ignored it, forcing the girl to take a leap from the running bus. She was injured in the incident, he said.
Local people took her to MGM Hospital, where she was admitted, he said.
The police seized the bus and launched a hunt for the driver, conductor, the bus owner as well as the teasers, Naithany said.
It was not the usual bus in which she generally travels from Sakchi to Mango, Naithany informed.
