A girl was killed on the spot by a speeding truck here in Assam's Kamrup (Rural) district today, police said.
The girl, who was on her way to the school on her bicycle, was knocked down by the truck at Tulsibari area on the Indo-Bhutan Road.
The deceased has been identified as Sunita Paul, a student of Baidyagarh Higher Secondary school Tulsibari, and her body has been sent for post mortem.
