A teenaged girl was allegedly brutally beaten and molested by a youth after she refused to marry him, the police said.
The incident which took place in the City Center area of Bidhanagar yesterday came to light after the girl and her family members lodged an FIR against the youth today. The girl and the youth used to work together in a garment shop, sources said.
The youth was harassing the girl for the past few months but she used to avoid him, police said.
The girl was allegedly molested and assaulted by the youth yesterday when she refused his proposal to marry him, police said.
A manhunt is lodged to nab the youth, sources said.
