Girl rescued; 2 kidnappers nabbed

A 17-year-old girl who was kidnapped nearly three months ago has been rescued by police with two persons having been arrested in connection with the case.

"The girl went missing on May 29 from Mohanpura village under Marehara police station in Etah district. Based on a complaint filed by her father, an FIR was registered in the matter," said Inspector Ghanshyam Singh, who added that the girl was rescued yesterday from the Marehara area itself.

The arrested accused have been identified as Veerpal, a resident of Bhurraka village of Sikandara Rao tehsil in Hathras district, and Bhoora, a resident of Hussainpur village, said Singh.
 

The girl has been sent for a medical examination and further inquiries are on into the case, police said.
