A 20-year-old girl allegedly stabbed a man with a knife when he tried to "kidnap" her by pulling her into a car outside a shrine in Rajouri district.
The girl was returning from a shrine here yesterday when the youth allegedly tried to kidnap her.
"In an exemplary act of bravery, the girl stabbed and injured him with a knife that she was carrying when he tried to pull her towards his vehicle," a police official said.
The accused, Shakeel Ahmed (25), was taken to district hospital in Rajouri from where he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC) here for treatment.
"Both sides have filed complaints against each other. Investigations are on," the officer said.
